Cellular and molecular studies of transmembrane signaling ev-ents mediated by insulin, IGF-I and growth factors. These include studies of the structure/function relationships of the receptors for these hormones as well as the relevant downstream signaling molecules. Interests include how abnormalities of insulin action relate to the insulin resistance and pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus.
