James R. Feramisco
Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology, Affiliate Member - Cellular and Molecular Medicine
Ph.D., University of California, Davis
Research Interests:

Signal transduction in growth and differentiation, with an emphasis on the mechanism of action of the cellular protooncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. The ability of mammalian cells to respond with in seconds to minutes to hours to various stimuli is studied by the integration of cell biological techniques such as needle microinjection with molecular biological techniques. These approaches provide us with living cell analyses of the dynamics of cell signal transduction.
