Webster K. Cavenee
Professor of Medicine
Ph.D., University of Kansas
Research Interests:

We are interested in the molecular basis for cancer initiation and its malignant progression. In particular, we take a multidisciplinary approach to the identification, isolation and functional characterization of genes which are targetted for activation or silencing in cancers of the brain, melanocytes, muscle or prostate. We use techniques of genomics, gene transfer, molecular genetics and in vitro/in vivo tumor physiology to accomplish these goals.
